I'm Adelaide. I'm a new follower to Krishna, aged nineteen. I'm a student at Warren Wilson college (soon to be Lubbock Christian University), studying psychology. I'll go into neuropsychology - specializing in clinical neuropsych - afterwards, although if I could have a family and simply travel around the world meeting interesting people, I'd much prefer that.
I'm currently dating a wonderful man and have done so for the past year and a half. Although not a follower of Krishna, he is a follower of Christ, which is the same in my book. He's open to the Hare Krishna faith, however. :]
As for what I do with my life, I'm a musician and fire-spinner. I've been gifted with talents in singing and piano, and am currently learning how to play the guitar and sitar. I spin fire fans and double-staff (also known as batons), and am very much into all forms of art. Chanting & singing mantras is one of my favourite pastimes, and I'm excited to learn more about Krishna.
Hi! My name's Adelaide. I'm nineteen years old (nearly twenty), and am currently a sophomore at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. I'm soon to transfer back to my hometown of Lubbock, Texas, however, to have better educational access to neuropsychology.
I discovered Krishna only recently, about two months ago, and have since read bits and pieces of the Bhagavad-Gita. I'm absolutely enamored. As a Christian, I've always searched for the Truth in the world, and I continuously found that many of my fellow Christians didn't seem to understand that what the world needs most is love, complete and unadulterated. I believe that following Krishna - Christ - is the way, and learning about him brings me great joy.
Although Dallas is only a few hours from me, obviously I cannot make a weekly trip up to worship, but my devotions here at my college have been solitary as well. I've found peace in chanting maha-mantra and meditation, and look forward to furthering my knowledge in this new-found faith.
