Im a new devotee of Krishna. I first went to the temple 6 months ago. Im chanting daily and trying to learn all I can. Ive been attracted to all things indian since I was a child, I love to wear saris, chant and sing Kirtan. Im trying to learn Hindi, and I would love to learn traditional indian dancing.

Im a devotee of the Radhe Krishan temple in London , England. Ive been Krishna concious since last August and I am so gratefull for the mercy of Krishna and the kind and powerfull association of all the devotees at the temple.

Travelling to London and stepping into the temple on that hot summers day almost a year ago was the best decision I have ever made. I knew almost instantly that this was a place where I could totally be my self, but still be accepted, encoutraged and guided.

Im far from perfect but with Krishna's great mercy I am comming closer to him every day.

Hari Bol,

I read your posts in the forum, and I like the way you have asked things so honestly. I think this is the first step for Krishna Consciousness, or in fact for anything in life- to be honest to yourself. I wish you all the good luck for your devotional life and would appreciate, if I could be of some help.

Saw that you are interested in learning Hindi and Sanskrit. Both of them are my native language. Please feel free to ask any questions regarding that.
I have sent you an add request

May Krishna Bless You,
Hari Bol

You are going to be a great preacher. From reading your insightful posts and also seeing how many languages you speak, it's easy to see that Krsna has given you great intelligence to utilise in His service. I wish you all the best.

Hare Krishna Kimimela!
Thank you for telling me more about Bhaktivedanta Manor. I asked because someone I found on Youtube and emailed with a couple of times, lives in London, and I believe, is active... I am not too sure of course but I know he spent a couple months at the temple last year up until Christmas. I met him on Youtube, his name is Ben. Just thought I'd ask if you knew him. Also he has a friend named Rasa Biharji (I think); do you know him? Thanks! I know it isn't important I am just curious.
Take care.

Alex

SB1.1.14 - Living beings who are
entangled in the complicated meshes of birth and death can be freed immediately
by even unconsciously chanting the holy name of Krishna, which is feared by fear
personified.

SB 6.2.14 -One who chants the holy name of the Lord is immediately freed from the
reactions of unlimited sins, even if he chants indirectly [to indicate
something else], jokingly, for musical entertainment, or even neglectfully.

Hare Krishna

I wanted to ask about the Japa chants, please correct me if im wrong, i am going to buy the japa beads (108), and it is using these beads i chant the Japa do i.

Is the Japa chant.
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, Hare, Hare
Hare Rama, hare rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

Well i chant, and i know this seems a silly question but how loud do i have to do that, i read that people chant at work, whilst out walking, do these people shout this chant or do it under there breath, obviously at first i would probably feel awkward chanting loudly at work or on the street, but that is where i will want to do it, as its the only time i get to myself (although im trying to change that). Im a postman so i get 4 hours a day wondering the streets to myself, this seems my perfect chanting time.
When i chant what do i think of, Im sorry to ask such stupid questions, do i try and clear my mind, is it a form of meditation.

I really excited about going to my first krishna meeting (if that is what you call it), and again i thank you for the time you have given me in the last few days, i am sure as i begin to learn i will too be able to offer such good advice to newcomers one day.

Radhe Radhe !
