Thank you for your kind comments. Yeah I know many Christians embrace modern science but there are a lot of conservative Protestant Fundamentalists that don’t. Once again thank you for your comments. I’m glad you like my posts. Hare Krishna!

Hare Krishna! I’m glad you like my point. Yes as I have mentioned Modern Science does believe the Earth to be about 4.6 billion years old, 4.54 billion to be exact. Like you mentioned in your article none of the Earth’s original rocks can be found, so that would mean that the Earth must be older than the rocks. The Problem with Modern Science’s date with a 4.54 billion year old Earth and a 13.7 billion years old Universe is that these dates were arrived at using the imperfect senses. Shrilla Prabhuphada said that all conditioned souls have imperfect senses and that they have four defects which are

1. Imperfect Senses (Karanapatava): The senses are limited and can easily be misled.
2. Illusion (Pramada): Accepting as real something that is not real.
3. Mistakes (Bhrama): "To err is human."
4. Cheating (Vipralipsa): To propagate falsehood, to present yourself as something you are not.

I know it is hard to reject science and trust the true words of Krishna as written in the Shrimad-Bhagavatam but what you must understand is that all conditioned souls have imperfect senses as I listed above so they can’t be right. Krishna is God so He is perfect and anything He says is completely true. Krishna’s words or the words of a liberated soul are completely free from any of these four defects. What is important to understand is that science constantly changes. A few hundred years ago science said the world was flat, the Earth was in the middle of the Universe, the Earth was stationary, the Earth was 6,000 years old. All of this has changed. Science changes all the time. Science is constantly changing and what is true in science today may be considered false in 100 years. This means just because science says the Earth is 4.6 billion years now and that the Universe is 13.7 billion years, this could change in 100 years and could change again in another 100 years, but Krishna’s words do not change and they are absolute. Krishna’s words are above the four defects of the conditioned soul and they do not change with time. Our senses are imperfect and cannot always perceive the truth. We c an perceive with our imperfect senses everything Krishna says. The problem is that our senses are not perfect. Our senses are like perverted reflections of reality. I know it will be hard to accept this but understand the modern scientific consensus of the age of the Universe and Earth have only been here for 100 years at most and before that Scientists believed in different ages. If you go back in time you will see scientists have always come up with different and new ages, and hundreds of years from now these ages will change too. Science is constantly changing and it is changing as we speak. Knowledge from science is imperfect because it is based on the imperfect senses but whatever comes from the Shrimad-Bhagavatam is perfect because it is Krishna’s words, and Krishna can never be wrong. Therefore there is proof for the Vedic Timescales in the Shrimad-Bhagavatam which is Krishna’s words and is accepted as the Ultimate Proof. Science on the other hand keeps changing and the dates have changed many times in the past, and may change again anytime in the future. Krishna’s words always stay the same. When people believed the world was flat, 6,000 years old, stationary, and in the Center of the Universe, the Vedas had already stated for many hundreds of trillions of years that the Earth was round, hundreds of trillions of years old, not stationary, and not in the Center of the Universe. Therefore the Vedas already knew all of these things many hundreds of trillions of years before science. The existence of extra-solar planets have only been recently confirmed by Modern Science, but the Vedas have known this for hundreds of trillions of years. Multiverse theory, M-Theory, which posit that there are innumerable bubble-shaped Universes is something that Modern Science is just embarking on, but the Vedas speaks of the Maha-Vishnu exhaling and inhaling innumerable bubble-shaped Universes. This has been said in the Vedas for many hundreds of trillions of years. Modern Science is just starting to understand this. The Vedas is much more advanced than Modern Science. In Vedic Times people lived for 100,000 years and could perform many mystical powers such as flying, visiting distant planets, traveling faster than light, teleporting, telepathy and changing the size of the body smaller than an atom or larger than a planet. There were advanced invisible golden airplanes described in the Shirmad-Bhagavatam which Modern Science cannot create even today. String Theory and all such new scientific theories were actually written in the Vedas many hundreds of trillions of years ago. For example in the Vedas life exists on all planets, stars, and moons because the soul is imperishable and cannot be destroyed by anything and beings on the Sun and the moon have different types of subtle bodies suitable to these environments which are extremely hostile to our human bodies. These beings do not have gross material bodies but subtle bodies so we can’t see them and they live in a subtle dimension. So on the moon and the Sun there are subtle advanced, sophisticated beings living on the Sun and the Moon and other planets and stars but they do not live on gross dimension but a subtle dimension. Even the Earth has a gross and subtle dimension. At the end of Kali-Yuga it is said that since all religious people will be persecuted and killed Religious sages will enter the subtle dimension of the Earth to escape persecution once Kali-Yuga is over in 426,889 years they will come back once again at the beginning of Satya Yuga and establish the Vedic Religion. You can see that all new modern theories were already known by the Vedas so many hundreds of trillions of years before science. Many of Einstein’s theories such as time dialation were written in the Vedas many hundreds of trillions of years ago. For example, one story talks about a man who went to Brahmaloka and waited there for 30 minutes to talk to Brahma. While doing so he posed a question to Brahma about marriage, but Brahma said that since He was here for 30 minutes hundreds of millions of years have already passed on Earth and all those people are long gone and dead. Evolution which Darwin said he came up with has actually been the Vedas for hundreds of trillions of years. There are 8,400,000 species of life (a number Modern Science has not even been able to come up with yet) We have through transmigrate and evolve through 8 milllion species before we can get to human form and from Human form we reach a crossroads where we can either go back to Krishna, go to Heavenly planets, stay as a Human, degrade into an animal or plant, or go to the Hellish planets. Evolution is used because the soul gradually becomes more intelligent until it reaches Human Form from where it has enough intelligence to chose where it will go. It can become any species, and it can go to any planet, star or moon. Modern Science says life does not exist on other planets and moons, and stars, and least they say the one’s we know of. But the problem is they mistake life for this body. The body is dead matter. The Soul is life. The soul can not be destroyed by any weapon, by Fire, By wind, or water, or anything. This is said in the Bhagavad-Gita. The body is not needed for life, and the soul which is life can survive anywhere. So it can be on the Sun and the Moon or anywhere. It says in the Bhagavad-Gita that the Material Universes were made to satisfy the desires of souls who did not want to serve Krishna. For this reason many stars, planets, moons, and different species were created according to Karma and the desires of the individual souls. Everything is perfectly made by Krishna. Krishna would not make planets, and Stars if nobody lived there. He would not create things without a purpose so we know that God created all plants, stars, moons etc. for the living entities to reside in . That is not all He created innumerable Universes of different sizes for the living entities to reside in and in the Chatianya Charimita it is said that are Universe is one of the smallest and that there are Universes much larger than ours. Everything is perfectly created by Krishna. Krishna creates different species and the soul can progress through all of these species until Human form. The problem with Modern Science is that they say that the Human form is recent only 250,000 years old and that life is only 3.5 billion years old and that this happened all by chance. But in the Vedas it is known that many have reached the Human form for so many Hundreds of trillions of years. If one life of Brahma is 311 trillion, 40 billion years and innumerable lives of Brahma have passed that would mean that to evolve through 8 million forms would only take 800 million or 1 billion years at the max. Since so many lives of Brahma have passed 1 billion, 10 billion, 100 billion, 100 trillion, or even 100 quadrillion years is an insignificant amount of time for souls to reach human form, since so many innumerable lives of Brahma have passed by. Anyway Scientists say they don’t find human fossils but they find animal fossils. This is because any advanced society like Vedic Society cremates the body after death, so how can you find ancient fossils of humans? All the bodies are burned upon death and thrown into a river or the ocean. Animals are not cremated upon death so you might find older fossils of them. Another thing is that every 8.64 billion years after the end of Brahma’s day there is a flood that floods’ the Universe and most of the fossils left on Earth would have been washed from the Earth when the Universe gets flooded by the waters of devestation. When Brahma’s night comes the Sun does destroyed but instead every 8.64 billion years the Sun is refueled or regenerated so the Sun becomes like new. If Krishna did not refuel the Sun after every day of Brahma within 10 billion years the Sun would become a Red Giant and it would eventually become a white dwarf a few billion years after. After about 10 trillion years that white dwarf would fade away into a black dwarf and in 10^40 years proton decay would settle in and dissolve anything that remains. This is why Krishna restores the Sun to its original condition every 8.64 billions years so that the Sun can last throughout the lifetime of Brahma (311 trillion, 40 billion years). From this we can see that the Universe and the Earth, the Sun and everything else is the same age. There is also scientific proof for this which has been covered up by scientists when they find evidence of things that go against there theory. Basically when scientists find existence of Humans which are billions of years old they disregard it. There are many cases such as Creator’s stone (Daksha’s Stone), The 250,000 year old stone tools in Huelytaco, Mexico, and other such fossils which have been carbon dated very accurately in four different ways but Scientists won’t accept it because it goes against their pre-conceived modle, and theory. Michel Cremo and Richard L. Thompson have written some good books about how they have found proof of Human fossils which date billions and billions of years in the past. They have also fossils of other creatures existing for billions of years which is not accepted by science because it goes against there theory. There books include

2) The Hidden History of the Human Race
3) Human Devolution

If you want to read full versions of His books they are all available. The books also describe how Monkey-Men (Homo Erectus, Hablis, Australopithicus) do exist the Vedas are are explicitly mentioned in the Vedas. For example in the Ramayana which took place 20 million years ago according to Vedic Literature there are many descriptions of monkey-men known as Kimapursha. They helped Rama cross the Indian Ocean and they fought along with Him to Kill Ravana. Some notable Kimapursha are Nul and Neil who helped construct the miraculous Rama-Setu bridge 20 million years ago from India to Sri Lanka and the most notable probably being Hanuman who is an incarnation of Shiva who came down to serve Rama.

In regards to your statement about how Christians that you work with have their faiths strengthened and confirmed by science. This cannot be true for many reasons.
1) Christians believe the Earth is about 6,000 years old. Modern Science says 4.6 billion, which is much different.
2) Christians believe the Universe is 6,000 years old too, but Modern Science says 13.7 billion years old.
3) Christians believe the Sun was created on the 4th day after the Earth, but Scientsts believe that the Sun was create about 40 million years before the Earth.
4) Christians used to believe and many still do that the Earth is stationary, flat, and in the Center of the Universe. Many conservative Protestants still say that the Sun revolves around the Earth and that science is lying and that it is from Satan trying to go against Christ’s words.
