I'm just starting on this journey, trying to find out where I fit. I came from a background where I valued my intelligence and rationalism, but I found that created a certain sense of emptiness in life. Being handicapped has also caused me to question "why", and the ideological conflicts between the many faiths of the world has alwas been disconcerting to me.

Seeing the happiness and openness exhibited by those immersed in Krsna Consciousness is inspiring. I like that it isn't exclusionary and isn't overrun with an "us against them" mentality, and that it gives me an opportunity to explore Indian culture without being considered an outsider.

I like to consider myself a person that loves humanity and its diversity, and I believe that the spiritual path is part of what makes us human. And although I do not live near an ISKCON temple, I look forward to exploring my own personal path via this website.

Hare Krsna!! how ru kev? was on call lastnight...wasnt too bad, got some sleep....but stil tired! its a psychological thing i guess....chat to you soon. Haribol

Hare Krsna! yes, the holy name is the only means to get out!
im gona go now....u have a lovely Krsna conscious day...chat to you soon! take care!

haribol...yes iv emailed u now...ur email not on this website, so had to search thro my guestbook to find it...remembered u had given ur email adres before.
Behind Lord Caitanya’s dancing is an expression of the feeling "My dear Lord, I want to meet You."
When Krishna hears a devotee formulating the request "My dear Lord, I want to meet You, I am now separated, but I want to meet You," He comes running from the spiritual world into the life of the devotee.
This Caitanya bhakti is expressed in the chanting and dancing of Mahaprabhu.... Sometimes people say: "Why so much chanting and dancing?" It is the song of love and the dance of love that were brought by Caitanya Mahaprabhu into this world. What better way to spend life in prison than singing and dancing?

Hare Krsna...check ur email...

Lessons from a Butterfly

A man found a butterfly cocoon and decided to save it. One day a small opening appeared, and the man sat and watched for several hours as the butterfly struggled to force its body through the little hole.

At one point the butterfly seemed to stop making progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no farther. The man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily.

But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would dry in the warm air and open wide enough to support the butterfly’s body. He thought, too, that the body would contract. But neither happened. In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was never able to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening was God’s way of forcing fluid from the butterfly’s body into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it had freed itself from the cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need. Each hurdle in life is sent by Krishna to make us stronger, like an athlete in training. The difficulties a coach places before an athlete are designed to increase his competence. If Krishna allowed us to go through life without obstacles, we would become crippled—we would never be as strong as we could have been. We would never fly!

Never lose heart in the face of impossible odds.
