Haribol!
Hello, my name is Andrew, I have been a devotee for about 3 years and I am currently on my 2nd tour to Iraq. I have been here for nearly 4 months with 11 months left in my deployment. This is my first deployment as a devotee and I am having some difficulties. If there is any way you could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, so much.
"Problem" 1) I have no food that I can cook for myself. Food is typically brought in large containers and is typically meat this, meat that, and maybe some peas or corn. Sometimes they send rice, but more often than not it is mixed with meat. I have been eating some Iraqi food, such as "Samon" (? A type of flat bread. Not quite on the spelling sure of the name.), and the occasional "Samon" with cheese.
I feel extremely uncomfortable and wary at times of offering any of this food to my "Traveling Altar" which is basically pictures of Krsna and Srila Prabhupad on my laptop.
If there is any way you could send some sort of non-perishable Prsadam, I would be soooo soo soo thankful. Something high in protein would be nice, as we use much energy throughout the day and I have been getting little if any protein. Not being picky and if it comes from the Lord I will very graciously eat it and enjoy it.
"Problem" 2) Our Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle was hit with an Explosively Formed Projectile (A very dangerous roadside bomb which burns at 6,000 degrees farenheit.) about a month ago and caught on fire. The worst part of this is, my prayer bag and beads were in the vehicle next to my gun station and in an attempt to help my fellow Soldiers get out, I had no way of turning back to grab them before the flames got too severe. If you could possibly send a new set of beads, I would be oh so thankful.
Keep in mind, it may take anywhere from 2-8 weeks in heat up to 135 degrees Fahrenheit for mail to get to me. Sometimes it is quick, sometimes it is slow.
Also any sort of Prsadam you could send to offer to the small children would be wonderful. My address is as follows:

Thank you once again and please feel free to distribute my address to anyone who may want to send me any sort of care packages, thank you so much.
