The name Hari Signifies destroyer of evil, Om the symbol of God (Sri Hari) and Namo Narayana or Vasudeya the Sanskrit name for Sri Hari. Chanting Hare Krishna is a prayer, chanting Hari Om Narayana is the mantra, because most mantra must have Om with it. Constant faith and love for him irrespective of success or failure, joy or sorrow, with constant faith in him you will should attain the lotus feet of Sri Hari. I hope your reading the Gita also.
