Hare Krishna, I read your query in the forum and found it appealing though I haven't gone through entire post. Well, nobody can be forced is my certain belief, as even Lord Krishna after speaking Bhagwad Gita to Arjun asked him to follow what he thought was proper and justful.
I should say that you must follow what your heart tells you, but remember the thumb rule for every religion is to be good, do not be like an animal. The way of approach is different my friend, but finally we all are heading to one destination. 'All roads lead to Him', for you 'Him' is Christ for me it is Krishna and for somebody else it may be something else, but there is just One. As far as your dad is concerned try explaining him this and perhaps he would understand, what I see is that you both are fascinated to the material form of following Supreme. Tomorrow you might start comparing your Lord gave this and my gave that, but that would be foolish to ascertain material qualities to Lord. Anyway i will cut it short here, you have an enlightened life and I pray you won't be forced anymore.

Dear I want to share my experiance with u.I read u in forum,I'm deeply touched with ur pain.Ur pa is cause of ur pain its' very amazing ! Our parents can never b too harsh,just try to access the way to his heart,definately its' gonna work.B patient not acrimonious & sort out the way out.
I honor ur beleif,and no-one should compell u to change it forcibly,but there might b some reason why ur Pa has changed his beleif,obviously he is more mature and admant too.I think u should take a trial period,say a month.Be flexible 'cause "Lord Krishna & Christ" both are same.If u 'll give a month 2 ur Pa,then u'll better able to form an openion.Later u can take ur way.
Then even me 'd help u to persuade ur Pa.
Its' my advice pl don't take it otherwise.If u find it well honor it or decline it ! I'll b equally happy.
