Born in Germany. Raised in ISKCON, that is the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Attended ISKCON's gurukula school in Vrindavan, India, from 1980-82, then gurukula at New Mayapur community in France, 1982-86. Bhaktivedanta Manor, 1990-92. New Dwaraka, Los Angeles, 1992-97. New Raman Reti, Alachua, Florida, 2000-present.
I live and work in the Alachua, Florida, devotee community. My service at Krishna.com involves creating new content, facilitating the many volunteers, and helping with the technical development of this project.
I also volunteer as a youth minister in ISKCON, whenever I can. Among other things, that has kept me engaged in helping to serve with the young people who make up the Krishna Culture Festival Tour (bus tour) around North America.
I'm married to Jaya Radhe devi dasi, whom I have to credit for tolerating me and teaching me, by her example of tolerance and so many other good qualities, what it means to become a better person. (Thank you!) I've got a lot to learn.
Recently we've been fortunate to attend the Japa Retreat hosted by the devotees at Bhagavatlife.com, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. It was a five-day retreat where Jaya Radhe and I got a chance to focus on improving our chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra on beads (japa). I went there to get a taste for chanting, and gained the association of devotees who inspire me to keep on hankering for that taste, to continue to approach the Holy Names with humility and in utter helplessness and feel the presence of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna. It's as if, after 29 years, I've learned to chant japa all over again. And this time around I beg for the blessings of all of you to be able to continue. Please pray for me.
As you may have noticed, I've been using my blog to post contributions from devotees who send me emails but don't have the time to blog. So I'm converting their little drops of nectar into blog format here. (Such as the posts that Krishna Kripa Prabhu sends me from his traveling adventures in Eastern Europe, and Satyaraja's recent post on why people become Hare Krishna devotees...). These are posts that inspire me, and I am sharing them with you.
If you have any suggestions for me, or have ideas on how to improve Krishna.com, please don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
For those who may not be aware, there is a team of 17 people here at the office, and another 75 or so volunteers around the world, who make up the Krishna.com team. The credit for this website project goes to them, and to the many donors who keep this site alive (see their names at the bottom of this page.) Some give $5 every month, some $10, some give more... and it is truly inspiring to be able to reciprocate and add more content and features to this site, as the donation base increases (to cover the ever rising costs.) So please consider me a servant of the servant of this team.
I am a developer at Krishna.com
Please leave a message on my guestbook. Let me know how you like the new Krishna.com.
