Guru Vakya:
The Four Principles of Community Building
1. Treat everyone you encounter as if the success or failure of your spiritual life depends on the quality of your interactions with them.
2. Think of the person you love the most and aspire to treat everyone with that same quality of love.
3. View all conflicts as your own fault first.
4. Realize that people in your present environment might very well be the people with whom you will live out your life and who are likely to be with you at the time of death.
The Four Principles of Balance
1. Place more emphasis on having loving Vaishnava relationships. See all interactions as a cry for love or an extension of love.
2. Go the extra mile to care for and protect women and children. The Bhagavatam mentions that when elders, brahmanas, cows, women, and children are not protected, not only does the individual who does not protect them suffer, but the entire community suffers.
3. Keep a healthy balance between spiritual and material life, but make sure the second supports the first.
4. Remain loyal to Srila Prabhupada’s movement, but do not be sectarian. We are to remain loyal to Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON but to respect all Vaishnavas.
"How many of us, while going through unfavorable situations, think "Why me ?"
How many of us, While being rewarded, think "Why me and not he?"
How many of us, While seeing others suffer, think "Why he and not me?" " --- B.T Swami...
Such a Quote By B.T Swami... Still I am trying to become like that...
Lesson From Pain:
Pains make us realize and appreciate the value of
everything in this world. When we get something after
going through lots of pain, we value that thing so
much. That is why we see practically that most of the
successful businessmen are from a very simple
background. They struggle so hard and attain great
heights, true to the words, "No pains, no gains". Such
people are simple and humble even after attaining so
much success, because the pains teach them true
humility.
Pains helps us to develop a deep faith in the Lord
and our spiritual master. If we get everything easily
and automatically, we are bound to think that we are
the source of everything and we fail to see Krishna
and our Guru Maharaj's kindness in every wake of our
life.
....and the list is endless. Only in pain we can
realize Krishna and call Him out truly from the core
of our hearts, and we have several examples like
Gajendra, Draupadi, Arjuna and many other great souls
in front of us. Hence instead of shying away from the
pains in this world and spending our valuable time in
the pursuit of unwanted comforts, let us boldly face
the pains by completely surrendering unto the Lord and
our spiritual master. Then our life will become
successful.
Yes. "I learned lot of things from pain". This pains gave me a good lesson and much more than what happiness can teach us. Moreover, when we have experienced a kind of pain, we will be able to understand how much a living entity is suffering when he feels the same pain and naturally we will try to help them overcome the pain. This way, pains automatically builds compassion and helping attitude inside us... That's why we should not hurt other feelings. While speaking to vaisnavas or dealings or any service also we should be careful...Bcoz it is very difficult to understand devotees mind... Better be humble always... dont comment, find faults, gossip and co-operate nicely among the devotees... so that we can serve nicely
Real success is how one is faithful to his guru. That is real success. Yasya deve para bhaktir yatha deve tatha gurau. It is not by education or grammatical knowledge you can learn anything. No. It is by the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. And that grace comes down through the grace of guru.
