I am new to Krishna Consciousness, although I have been a 'Transcendentalist' since I was a boy. I have read several of Srila Prabhupada's books and they struck a chord within my heart and it makes me happy to read the Gita and know there is a way to get back to Godhead. I don't know any Krishna Conscious people where I live, although there is a Hindu Temple nearby. I have a family and a good job and a lot of the material things that people strive for but I know that loving God is the purpose in life, not the acquisition of 'things.' Anyway, as I head toward 50 years of age, I will continue to learn and I hope to progress on this journey.
