haribol!! i am ela, 18 years old at present. i've been in the movement for more than a year now and i am really enjoying it. i am attending a bhakti vrksa here in baguio city, philippines.
i really love reading a lot and i can say that one of the factors that initiated my love for krishna is reading prabhupada's books. the first of prabhupad's books that i read was the srimad bhagavatam 10th canto (too complicated for a beginner right?). and when i started asking my best friend so many questions about certain topics in the bhagavatam, he instructed me to read first the bhagavad gita. and i'm really thankful that i obeyed him.=)
i love writing, actually i write more than i talk because often times i am misunderstood when i do talk so i just express myself by writing or through nonverbal communication. actually, i don't like mingling with other people(i'm sorry for that, i am such a loner)but that was before now i love to be in association with devotees. and if i can do something, i really don't want to be in association with karmis that are not interested about krishna. so i just shut up when i they say things that are not right about iskcon. but when it comes to preaching krishna consciousness to others i am really very eager to explain everything to them if they show me that they are also eager to learn.
