Jagannath-Nrsimah or Nrsimah-Jagganath?

I Find that since ive Joined Iskcon ive found a very strong attraction to Lord Nrsimahdeva, possibly because my first festival was Nrsimah apperance, and his many diffrent forms fascinate me and i often surf sites that have pictures of the Lord in this form.

Small, simple and easy to read book wanted

I am interested in purchasing a small book that has simple easy to understand instructions on both home and Temple Deity worship. Any recommmendations?

deities damaged in house fire

Hare Krsna.

A devotee asked me to take care of Gaura Nitai deities that have been physically damaged in a house fire. I think he wanted me to find a river to put them in. Are deities ever considered broken? How should they be treated? Both figures are broken at the feet with lowest parts of the legs missing, and are otherwise intact.

standard of comfort?

I have a question, and I feel somewhat uncomfortable asking it. I see the deities on the altar at the temple, and they are so beautiful, and so beautifully dressed, with beautiful jewelry and decorations. One outfit more exquisite than the next... I don't even know how to ask this...why is anything other than natural stones and natural fabrics used?

why not this costume is included in deity worshiping(i never saw krishna in such dress in any of the temple why??)

Are we are not to cast our eyes upon the deities from the time the offering has been set before them, until it is removed? How is it that photos are taken of deities while offerings are on the altar?

What is the understanding of viewing deities in the temple while offerings are on the altar?
