Hare Krishna. Can we offer sprouted moong or sprouted chickpeas to Krishna ? I don't know whether sprouts are sattvik or tamasic. Please help. Thanks.

When beans and grains are

When beans and grains are sprouted they become vegetables which are acceptable as offerings.

Sprouted beans and grains have many more nutrients when sprouted than they have when dry.

More Nutrients

This is nice Antony, yes you're right, when they are sprouted they have all the vitamins and minerals of vegetables and also they still have the protein of the beans, so it's double-time nutrition.

We used to use those sprouted beans, just sprouted, in our vege-burgers (my recipe, listen to my false ego :) for the "Peaceable Kingdom"...
We would blend them in a blender with just a little water so they would blend, then use them in the mix...
Love,
Navasi :) : ): )
