I'm very keen to find some kind of service I could do for Krishna's devotees. I'm horribly shy and quiet, and have three children to care for. One may argue that my service is to raise my children Krishna Consciously, but I feel like I could do more. I know I could do more. But, generally am too afraid to even approach anyone. If anyone could offer me some suggestions, that would be great.

It seems unusual that you would have to look for service. I am a bit shy at first too but everytime I go near a Temple someone is quick to offer me a chance to do some service. (usually multiple people, and too much service but that is another topic)
What I would probably do if I were in your situation is approach one of your friends at the temple and let them know of your desire to do more. I understand you say you are shy but do you have anyone there you feel comfortable talking with? I think it would not take much to let them know, and I'm sure they would appreciate the help, whether you have time to do a little or a lot of service.
Also give some thought in what ways you think you could be of help. Do you like to cook, are you good at cleaning, organizing activities, working on the web? Perhaps you could even try some preaching, with another devotee, and work on your shyness.
As you said your main service would probably be to raise your children in Krishna Consciousness. The only orders my guru gave me was to raise my kids as devotees. He did actually tell me to do less repair work around the Temple and spend more time with my kids.

I think no one approaches me
I think no one approaches me because I'm constantly surrounded by a swarm of small children :) (and I'm just about ready to pop with my fourth). I'm going to offer my services through the Volunteer page, and hopefully will be able to increase this, and my association, once I've "popped" so to speak.

There's all sorts of things you can do available... for the asking!
They don't even require any special skills or credentials!!!
And, they can be done from your home, or from your place of business, over the internet!!!!
Most of them only require a few minutes a week!!!

Assistant Housekeeper for Forums and Profiles
Time required: A few minutes per week, as you are able.
Help us keep an eye on the forum and profiles sections which are expanding rapidly.
Send us an email when you find inappropriate content or behavior.
And, let us know if you find exceptionally good content or behavior, if someone is doing really well, or if someone really needs a helping hand.
Let us know if you find exceptional writers. Should we ask them to start a blog?
The advantage I felt of choosing this service is that I will have to read each and every post on the forum which will also give me an additional benefit of acquiring more and more knowledge. :)
