How much ashes needed for India?

I heard that it is not necessary to bring all of the funeral ashes to India for putting into a holy river. How much of ashes is required? 10%, 25% or 50%? How much of the ashes are required? I am also going to the Delhi airport and need a taxi to Vrindavana. Does anyone have a phone number or email address where I can get a taxi reserved now that will not cheat me and will take me straight to the ISKCON guest house in Vrindavana? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hare bol.

hmm

Then try the Temple president secretary email and report this. Or Bhisma Department email, alternately dayinvrindavanATpamho.net (this should be Daivisakti dd).
Hope this helps. Hari Hari

ashes

10 years ago I brought my mom's ashes (all of them) from Prague thru Paris and Mumbai airports to Mayapur using Czech Airlines, Air France and Indian Airlines. There were no problems with authorities at all. It's said somewhere that one who is bringing ashes to Ganga is protected and safe. If you can't bring ashes to India, you may deposit them into a sea which is a tirtha as well:

Garuda Purana 2.6.13 (Motilal Banarsidass, Delhi 1982): "All heinous sins like the brahmana slaughter, done knowingly or unknowingly, are purified by releasing a bull [Vrsotsarga or Vrsa-yajna, on 11th day after death] or by swimming in the ocean."
