Starting out...

Hare Krishna all..

Thank you for the warm welcomes. Well, it's been about a month since I have delved into Krishna Conciousness... been quite interesting and thought I'd share a few impressions...

I can chant one round fairly well, though the mind wanders a bit still though not as bad as trying to pray the rosary... never could get the hang of that.

Not quite ready to drop my morning tea but feeling more and more guilty.

As I live over two hours away from the nearest temple and I am already quite active in my church, not sure what to do there but have to say the last few times I had to do the readings, it was like WOW! the Bhagavad Gita really helps me understand the Bible so much better. I feel I am brining a whole new dimension to reading.

I sing lead in the choir as well and find it funny how my director always uses the analogy that I am God's flute and His word comes through me when I sing and it's funny how when ever I remember that analogy and let go and not think of my nerves or if I'll remember the next note, everything comes out perfect and I feel like I am in an out of body "auto pilot" kind of mode. Now I understand how Karma Yoga is at work.

I have the Gita going non stop on my mp3 player so that's helping.

Slowly, I am feeling less and less need for the material world. It's all good.

Hare Krishna!

Hare Krishna!

Your experiences mean a lot to me.

I remember when I was first starting chanting, for me it was quite amazing! Don't worry if you drift during your chanting and keep on!
You'll benefit so much.

Gita is a brilliant book, it really helps us in all our lives. It also opens up a lot of new experiences. Things we may have not of thought before.

Chant on my friend!

Hare Krishna

Hare Krishna!
I am glad my posting inspires... I feel so superficial at the moment but I guess we all need to start at the wanna-be phase before we can make progress. I really want to jump right into the deep end of the pool but I know I need to go slowly.

Thank you for the encouragement.
