Hare Krsna my dear devotees, I would like to share with you something very special to me. I am developing a new kind of service in my present spiritual life, it's the Indian Vegetarian cooking classes here in Brazil - the first place I will be trying this new service is a farm temple because of that I have been practising many Indian recipes at home so I get really confident about what I am meant to teach.

Today I started my day chanting most of my rounds and went to the kitchen, I needed to check the yogurt - dahi I prepared yesterday for the cooking of today's lunch. It was my first time trying to curd the milk with yogurt, it went nicely and the paneer didn't become sour as usually when we do with lemon.

I taught Advaita how to prepare Garam masala he felt very proud of it and said that one day he would become a great cook and have a restaurant...at the same time Kesava was frying the Gulab balls, he prepared the syrup himself and added all the ingredients in a bowl for the balls, so I made them and he fried, paying attention to the right time they need to be removed from the heat.

I used the paneer to make a preparation called Tamatar Paneer, also my first time doing it, its a traditional Indian dish and Uddhava always comments eating this in Mayapur, so I thought I had to try it.
Another dish I tried was the Alu Parathas, they are pretty difficult at the beginning because you have to fill it with potatoes and then roll out as thin as possible if we are not used to doing it the possibility of opening and the filling breaking through is easy and happened with me in the first time, but we need to keep trying till they are perfect to offer to the Lord.

The Channa Raita was the most delicious preparation of today, fried chick peas with yogurt sauce. Advaita said that if everyone become happy after eating the prasadam means the Lord accepted and we were purified by the Deities blessing.
The last preparation was the Mithi Lassi made from the yogurt bathing of the Deities today, I mixed with rose water and sugar and became a tasty drink.

Cooking for the Krsna is one of the best services because we engage ourselves, others and in the end everyone is blessed by the Lords mercy that comes through the prasadam.
I hope I can improve more and more my cooking skills and by the mercy of Srimate Radharani I may be able to serve the Lord properly and share with others all these teachings we received from Srila Prabhupada.
I hope your week is blessed by Krsna and you are able to develop a deeper relationship with Krsna through service.

Doing Masala
Hare Krsna,
I liked to prepare masala because I felt that Krsna was with me and that by cooking to Him and giving prasadam to others they will become happier.
If I distribute prasadam more people will be purified and they will become devotees.
Haribol,
Advaita
Very good service
Dear Advaita,
Thanks for your comments, you are pretty right when you say we need to distribute prasadam and by doing that many people will be purified like you did when you took prasadam to your friends and teacher at school , now they listen to you talking about Krsna and get interested in this topic, please keep doing that.

More Service
Keshava,
I am very proud of you because you are becoming a good cook and you are just a boy, I am sure that Krsna will bless your life with lots of service to Him and will engage you much more in this service and many others, please keep serving the Deities as you do.
Always pray to the Lord so He can give you more intelligence to serve Him.

Cooking For Krsna
Thanks so much for this great article Aruna devi....your preparations sound very nice and it's great to hear about your Japa and the positive effect it had on your service...it shows us that when we chant very nicely then our service is very nice also.
Making Japa Priority
Dear Rasa Prabhu,
Thanks so much for your comments. I have been learning a lot in the japa room sessions how I have to make japa priority in my day and try to focus on my rounds, because of that I can see an improvement in any other service I want to develop for Krsna - I feel more confident to serve the Lord in any situation He puts me because I am pretty sure He will give me the intelligence to perform it.
Japa is the main thing in this case and I can notice the difference when I chant better rounds.
