I seem to have difficulty with breathing normally while chanting quitely. I seem to yawn a lot. Posture is not a problem. I can't seem to find a rhythm with my breath.
Anyone else have this difficulty?
Any suggestions to help fix it?
I cannot say i have had that problem but i have a feeling it could be due to your body not being accustomed to chanting that early in the morning.
Perhaps before chanting, doing a minute or two of breathing exercises to stretch your lungs a bit will help with breathing better once you start and also help you feel more awake since you will get more oxygen into your blood stream.
I hope this helps, and that you continue your efforts to chant in the early hours of the morning...i am still aspiring to get there.
Sing it
Sing it!
This gives more expression to chanting-
Go slower and really feel the words!
One good clear and meaningful sounding round of chanting is more useful than many rushed.
Haribol
Try breathing exercises
