Worshipping the Lord

Do you have a deity, or do you have a picture of Krishna or Lord Chaitanya at home.

How do you worship? Do you offer flowers. Do you offer water, some fruit, a leaf?

Do you offer your obeisances to the picture you have?

Do you chant?

Do you offer prayers?

How do you offer your worship. Let's hear about it.

Wonderful Questions!

Hare Krishan!

I have pictures of Radha Krishna, Pancatattva and lord Caitanya in my home altar.

Almost every morning, I offer water for Prabhupada and Krishna in little containers made of copper. After that, I burn incense sticks, I read Gurvastaka (which I started very lately), chant Nama om Vishnu padaya, panca tattva mantra and hare krishna mantra. Then I sit for Japa.

In the past I used to offer the ghee lamp (almost every morning) but I stopped doing so due to time factor. Shame on me!

I also do Tulasi Kirtan before Japa if time permits.

In the evening, at 9 PM my wife does small arati at home (as I am at work in evenings).

We place a pair of flower vases in Altar and only replace the flower (mostly roses) once a week as they normally last one week.

We try to offer almost everything at home -fruits and food.

Good questions you asked.

Always at your lotus feet,
Durga
