Twitter is not necessarily a separate network but rather a feature to add to ones personal profile. I use it to update my facebook and myspace pages with what I have been doing at the moment. It syncs with both websites. On twitter I only have few ppl following, but on myspace and facebook everyone sees immediately when I post as it sync with profile. I have been getting a lot of feedback from it so far. If not twitter at least I think we should have in our profiles a module for. "What are you doing at the moment?….." "I am chanting on the beach" might not be something that we would post in the forums or blogs or profile about me but it is nice to hear. It makes for a very fun community that ppl want to check back and back again to see what others are doing.
So many sites so little time
I have pages on MySpace and Facebook where I often put content from here. Are you saying that the Twitter automatically puts what you are up to on those sites as well? and that you are getting feedback because of this feature? Perhaps you could further explain. I try to limit my time on such sites as it can be a real time drain, but are you saying you can serve many purposes through connecting twitter to these other sites...and save time?

yes twitter updates facebook automatically and visa versa
myspace will sync with twitter but it is manually. So I usually just start there. and then press sync.
