Adding fresh apples into foods that contain hot (or warm enough) milk usually makes the milk curdle, and the dish uneatable.
Yet I have once eaten halava with apples, and I suppose milk rice (or a milk rice cake) can also be made with apples.
So what is the secret?
When is the right time to add fresh apples into milk rice or semolina?
How should the apples be previously prepared before adding them into the milk rice or semolina?
Thank you for your replies, prabhus.

For halwa i assume you would melt butter/ghee first.
I would add the the grains (rice/semolina/farina) next and roast.
The apples may be steamed seperately , to cook partially till transparent, then added to the pan, letting the apple mix well so the acidic apple juice gets absorbed.
At this point, it should be safe to add the milk.
Apple , rice/wheat and milk have been used in puddings cooked on stove, and oven-baked apple cake too, so this should work.
**A fruit that goes VERY WELL with semolina halwa is banana.
Lord Narayana's favorite treat is shira , made with ghee, semolina , sugar, banana and dressed with Tulasi leaves when cooked.
Lord Himself instructs that we use
1 1/4 cup semolina
1 1/4 cup ghee
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 medium banana
for this special prasad - shira. And the Tulasi topping makes it
really special.
** Tulasi should never be heated, only to be used for garnish after the shira is done and a bit cooled.
This makes the halwa too rich for our modern healthy diets, so for special occassions only.
