The King of Hearts

O Lord of myriad names! You who is ever benevolent and merciful,
Please accept my obeisance.
Your heart is but an ocean of mercy,
Where even greatest of sinners can take refuge.

O Lord! I long to hear the sweet melodies that are produced when your butter-moistened lips touch your golden-rimmed flute.
The enchanting tunes captivate the senses of everyone in Vrindavan and everything is in a momentary trance.
Accompanying this sweet lyric is the sound of anklets dancing in ecstasy.

O Madhava! You are the tender of the cows,
Who with their young travel along the path set out by your lotus feet.
You emanate transcendental bliss,
O Supersoul, engage me in your service.

O Radharani’s beloved! You are the dearest of all the gopis.
Your beautiful figure captivates all young and old.
You and Radharani are the universe’s golden couple,
Whose love surpasses the dimensions of all the fourteen worlds.

O Keshava, you enjoy serving your devotees,
And experience happiness even in our whims.
You most kindly pardon our misdeeds,
And grant us always a second chance.

O Hrishikesh! You are past, present and future,
And you reside in everyone’s hearts.
You come to the rescue of your devotees,
Who call out to you with pure love.

O Kripalu! In the whole universe you are the best judge,
Each of us experience happiness and sorrow according to our ‘karma’.
Yet some of us fail to understand this,
And foolishly whine and question your will.

O Partha-Saarthi! You who most lovingly guided Pandu-son Arjun in the great war against evil,
Please shower your grace upon me.
Help me lead my life along the path of goodness,
And ultimately reach you O Lord!

O Purshottam! Always continue to be with me,
And guide me through this circle of life.
By your grace, may I perform my ‘karma’ and achieve success,
Thus, through my actions I may bring more glories to your name.

Your eternal servant,

Shweta

Nice prayer!

Oh Krishna! Always keep her (Shweta) attracted to you,
For her words are humble and prayers are true.
Bestow Your mercy and shower Your blessing
So in estacy she always remain,
Singing and dancing.

Nice poem, Shweta.

Haribol!

Snehal.
