As we all have learned as the basics of Krishna Consciousness philosophy, the main fact that makes personalism higher and much more enjoyable than impersonalism is that there are personal relationships for the personalists, but no relationship at all for the impersonalists. The highest happiness comes from relationships, first between the devotees and the Supreme Lord, and then amongst the devotees themselves.
On the practical level, due to the fact that most of us are still conditioned souls struggling to develop some taste in spiritual life, Krishna is very close to us in one sense, and still far away in another. Mostly we are still trying to develop our relationship with Krishna through dealing with the devotees around us. So while we have given up material pursuits to seek spiritual ones, we have a right to look for loving dealings with the devotees; and to get that, it is again up to each one of us to contribute to it.
We are all natural love seeking souls. We all want to love and to be loved and to experience deep relationships. But the inborn four defects have made it impossible to get full satisfaction from one another. Our way to love others are imperfect, and our way of reciprocating to one's love is also often less than satisfying. Sometimes we even have to refuse and to be refused, to hurt and to be hurt, even though we don't want to do so. The heart, as a dwelling place of the soul, looks for the perfect, but the body and mind, the abode of senses and ego, make us defective. Therefore, out of fear, we consciously or unconsciously build up a wall between us and the world to stay "safe".
And then, fortunate as we are, the devotees have learned to look to deepen our spiritual practice, to deepen our relationship with Krishna without reservation. Krishna as the perfect source of love can give us fully satisfying reciprocation. There is no disappointment, no frustration, no betrayal and no wound in His love. So being healed by His embrace, we are able to become more complete ourselves, and then to extend ourselves to all those who are desperately crying for that inner fulfillment.
Therefore, if we allow Krishna in our heart, we will allow the devotees in the heart. And when we are able to love the devotees freely, we will naturally be able to love Krishna more. From that, the love extends to the whole world!
So, let me take the chance to beg to express my deep gratitude towards those who are selflessly offering me their love and care, and to make deep apologies to those whom I have offended out of ignorance. It is your love that has helped me grow, and in your love I see the smile of Krishna. but know that all the imperfections in me have become an obstacle for me to express myself to you satisfactorily. And it is at such times, I see the great need to get even deeper in my prayers.

Your heart is singing!
Thanks so much for allowing your heart to sing with such beautiful melodies. I think, as I like to say, you were "in the zone", or inspired.
When I am like that, my words just flow, and my words have power. I remind myself that it is not me, but due to the Lord's mercy, which is inspiring me. As I write I am in awe when I feel "in the zone"---I live for that---to make the best offering for the devotees possible, and I feel grateful, and do my best to give all credit to Krishna and his pure devotees.
Some day I will always be in the zone--the Krishna zone. Only time is separating us.
Your friend in Krishna,

That's really a nice compliment for a Chinese who has English as her second language! :) Thank you, I could pray for more mercy from the Lord and the kind devotees like you, I guess!
GGDD Rocks
Hey you are doing better than me, I only speak English and everyone thinks it's my second language!
