A skit to act in a BV program

Conversation between doctor and patient in the USA:
(Based on a real life incident)

Patient: Hello Doctor. I have come for a physical check up
Doc: Good. A lot of people from your country don’t do this although it is 100% free as most insurances pay for it.

Patient: It is because they don’t do that in my country. They only go if they have a problem.

Doctor: Don’t they know the proverb: “Prevention is better than cure”

Pat: There is no such equivalent proverb in all the 24 Indian languages!

Doc: (Laughs) You are very regular in this. You come for the checkup every year,
even before you are sent a reminder! Please sit down.
(Looks at the patients records)
You are still having border line cholesterol. It is steadily increasing, from 180, 206 last year? Wonder what it will be if I send your blood for test now?

Pat: I think it will be like 210!

Doc: Are you exercising and avoiding fatty foods? I know you eat meat, your wife said you can eat one chicken in 10 minutes!

Pat: Laughs) I stopped exercising. Fatty foods I avoid as much as possible, as I have been doing all these years. Before last year I have been eating raw garlic, powdered garlic,
Garlic Pearls made by the reputed Ranbaxy Pharma company in India.

Doc: Garlic should reduce cholesterol.

Pat: But I stopped that also since the last check up as people hate me for the bad breadth!

Doc (laughs) But you have to lower your cholesterol before it lowers you!
(He finished taking the sample blood and sends it to the lab for testing)

Pat (laughs) : I know . Let me wait for the results.
Hare Krsna

Doc: What you said? Hare….

Pat: I was praying.

Doc: Good. More things are wrought by prayer than the world dreams of!

One week passes
Pat. comes to the doctor again with the results. Doc carefully goes over the lab report from LabCorp.

Doc: I cant believe this your cholesterol is now just 165. (Even a person of half your age will have more!) What did you do? You even stopped exercising and taking garlic.
Did you take any prescription medication like Lipitor, from another doctor?

Pat: I know about Lipitor, I worked for Pfizer which bought Warner Lambert just for the drug. It had side effects like liver damage.

Doc: I know. I think it is good to work for Pharma companies, you become aware of new life saving drugs! But tell me did you take any other prescription drugs to lower cholesterol?

Pat: Yes, I was taking KPtor for the past 8 months or so.

Doc: I have never heard of KPtor. May be you got it at a low price from India?
I am sure they may sell Lipitor there in the name of KPtor!

Pat: Doc you are partially correct. KPtor is of Indian origin but it is not a drug!

Doc: Then what is it?

Pat: KP stands for Krishna Prasad! I have stopped all non vegetarian food including eggs and take only Krishna Prasad. Pure vegetarian food, offered to the Supreme Personality of Godhead!

Doc: (Stunned and silent)

Pat: Doc, doc are you ok? Should I call a doctor?

Doc: No I am alright, buddy. Don’t call any doctor. You are my doctor.

Pat: You are wrong. Krishna is the doctor of all doctors.

Doc: Yes…. Do you have KPtor, I will start taking it myself from today and prescribe to others too!
