I was talking to Kurma Dasa the Chef recently and on the issue of cooking there was something he continued to affirm, and that was that we should follow a recipe.
So there you have it a recipe should be the basis of your cooking plan.
There are many recipe books available at at Krishna.com for you to choose from and there are many places on the Internet packed with recipes for you to choose for free.

All the recipes at Krishna.com Food Channel have been tested to ensure they work for you. If you're looking for something to cook you can try a few of them.
There are also some nice recipes available at this site Sattvic Food.com. Everything there is vegetarian.
You will find some great recipes at the vegetarian society
Here's a tip. If you go to Google and search for vegetarian recipe there are 450,000 links to delicious food.

Vegetarian Treasure
Thank you for the links. I am trying to compile sources of vegetarian recipes suitable to people's tastes in different parts of the world. This itself is a door opening to a big resource ,
and in the right order - the food channel followed by Sattvic Foods followed by the rest. The links from devotees should top the list.
Thank you also for passing on Chef Kurma's advice "follow the recipe" - i have a tendency of going for the more flexible ones so i don't have to have a recipe in front : )
