Krsna, Prove to me that you always helped me!

Once when this worn out soul
Cried to Krsna in whole:

Madhava, so that believe I may
Prove to me that in every past way,
So that to atheists I can say :
“You never let me astray!”

“Sure my son, just look beyond”
Came a voice and a scene so profound:
I could see two footsteps on the path,
Through vales and hills it wrought

But at some places very steep :
Only one set of footprints were embedded deep:-

I asked the Lord “So why in these difficult spots
You left me alone and put my life in lots?”

Lord Krsna smiled and uttered “No my child,
In those places wild,

I carried you on my shoulders:
So that you may not fall over cruel boulders!”
I replied with eyes full of tears:

“How can I thank you my Lord?
Let me sing your glories forever like a bard!”

Yes , that's Him.

Thank you for your lovely poem. Its very influential, powerful and inspiring. In fact it can cause a leap in faith for someone who has not yet tread the path of devotion.

This concept of the Lord walking with you , has been one of the most influential things , even in childhood. I am reminded of "Footprints on the sands of time". Not sure if its talking about similar things. I don't even remember the poem now.

Wonderful.
Haribol.
