It has been a while since I have posted last, but here is my latest query.
I am moving to the Baltimore area, and will be just in time for the Rathayatra festival there. I am very excited and am looking forward to associating with devotees in person for the first time. So side note, if anyone knows of any good vegetarian restaraunts in the area or maybe a good study group, let me know:-)
OK, my actual question is in regards to the date of the Rathayatra festival. ISKCON hosts these festivals throughout the summer, whereas in India it is held at a specific time in the summer. Also I read that Westerners are forbidden to attend the Rathayatra celebration held by the priests in India. Just curious as to why this is. Thank you so much!
