Once there was a sage, and he had desire to perform Bhandara (distribute free food) in Khumb festival. But he was sage only so don't have money to organize Bhandara. Then he start collecting gold coin as much as he can. When he was going to devote house, the devotee were giving him one or two coin for his expenses in journey. He was spending less money on his need, and always try to save his every penny.

He was keeping gold coin in his bamboo stick, the bamboo was hollow from inside and at one hand a metal cap to close the hollow bamboo.

After few year his bamboo was full of gold coin and the khumb festivals was near to start. So he start his journey towards the holy city Banaras to full fill his desire. Journey was long, and at that time peoples was traveling by foot only, he reached in a city in evening, so he decide to stay there, and start his journey in morning again. He went to a business man house for night stay. The family felt too much happy that sage had arrived at their home. In night when sage felt asleep, the business man decide to put bamboo by side. When he pick up that bamboo, then he felt that this weight is not normal, it is too heavy. In curiosity he opened the metal cap and surprised too see lots of gold coin inside.

As maya play his part, business man caught by greediness, and he took all gold coin and fill the bamboo with stone. In morning when sage was getting ready to start his journey, the business man asked blessing for son.

When sage reached varanasi he announced that he is going to organize a grand Bhandara, and all peoples, sage are invited. Immediately work start on , raw material come, tent come. In evening shopkeeper asked for some payment, then sage told them that come in morning I will pay u in advance, but work should not stop.

In night sage decide to count his money, because morning he has to pay. But when he removed the cap , he got shocked, there were only stones. He start thinking that what peoples will say, and work already star, and he has to pay in morning, full night he cant sleep and in morning he finished his life in Ganag river.

After some time the business man who had stolen the sage money was blessed by a beautiful son. When this child grow up , the business man was surprised , because his activity was not like a normal child. He was a very clam and silent child. Not demanding any thing from his father, always keep quite, speak only few words. After few year he grow up and became a very handsome young man, still his activity was like a sage.

Family forced him for marriage, he denied a lot, but due to family pressure he knot with a very beautiful girl. He never leaved with her as a husband, always keeping distance with wife. Family was in shock, what to do with this sage child. After few month the time for the Khumb came again , and this young man asked his father permission to organize Bhandara. Father agreed with his son for this noble cause and they went Banaras to perform that.

They had organize a very big Bhandara there, all were parsing business man and his son for this noble case. When the Bhandara was near to finish then suddenly son start feeling pain in his chest and passed away.

All were shocked why this happen with this noble soul, and few of them start saying that there is no god, if god is there how a noble man die like this.

Then a saint came forward and asked that business man that remember ur past, u had stolen the sage money few year before. And that sage was collecting money from several year for Bhandara only. But u had stolen his money and he had to finish his life at that time. Your son was the same saint in his previous life. He came in ur family to take his money back and perform Bhandara, and now his cause finish, that’s why his life finish.

His desire to perform Bhandara has force him to take birth again. And u had paid for ur mischief with sage, by losing ur son.

The rich man start crying and asked saint that ok, I paid for my theft, but why this young girl had to suffer, he never taste the life of a married women. For what fault god is punishing her.

Then the saint told him, that she was a daughter of a farmer in his past life. And she was in one side love with a bharamchari young boy, and with her lusty tricks she broke his devotion, and for that she had paid in this life.
