Herewith a news item I just picked-up.......
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A court in Nebraska is being asked to cast judgement on the ultimate judge -- God.

State lawmaker Ernie Chambers filed a lawsuit Friday against the Almighty -- acknowledging he/she goes by numerous aliases -- for causing "fearsome floods, egregious earthquakes, horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes, pestilential plagues" and other alliterative catastrophes.
The suit, Chambers vs God, asks the court for a "permanent injunction ordering defendant (God) to cease certain harmful activities and the making of terrorist threats" which affect innumerable persons, including Chambers's constituents.
It asserts that God is "the admitted perpetrator" of such acts and said that God's omnipresence gives the local Douglas County District Court jurisdiction in the suit, adding that God's omniscience eliminates the need to issue a formal notice of the lawsuit.
Chambers told local media he filed the suit to make a point about frivolous lawsuits frequently seen in US courts, citing a recent one against a judge.
He asked the court to award him an unspecified summary judgment against God, or, in the alternative, issue a permanent injunction against God engaging in the damaging acts cited in the filing.
Neither God nor his/her spokespersons could be contacted for comment.
Whenever things go right no
Whenever things go right no one thinks to thank God or to offer anything back to Him as it is His property! How many lottery winners give all credit to God? Yet when things go wrong God is the first to get blamed!
Its so nice how we have the knowledge of things such as natural disasters and why they happen from the Bhagavad gita. Krishna has already explained in the third chapter that one must offer sacrifice to Vishnu, the demigods become pleased by such sacrifice and then bestow all material nessecities of life. we can take such natural gifts such as grains, minerals, fibres, etc and then offer them back to Vishnu and thus even more natural resources become abundantly manifested. This cycle of sacrifice is the natural way for everyone to be happy. Because the whole world practically is no longer performing the sacrifice then the gifts are being taken but not offered to Vishnu. Therefore it is the human society that is liable not God. We have broken the cycle by taking taking taking, but not offering anything back again. Krishna only asks for a little leaf offered with love.
Because we do not offer things first to God then we become implicated in karmic reaction as one cannot help causing suffering in this world.Even to eat - One living entity is food for another. To live at the cost of others means what you do will come back on you, especially if the cycle of sacrifice is broken.
