Hare Krishna.
I am coming from Christianity, and was wondering if anyone here is the same as me in this respect. If so, could I please get some input on what it was that made you feel that the Bible was not the right thing to follow spiritually, or what it was about the Bhagavad-Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, etc., that leads you to believe that they were? Thank you very much.
melkizedek priesthood
A clearer understanding of the melkizedek priesthood shows that the Torah (five books of mosses) and the teachings of both mosses and Abraham were mostly symbolic in describing the spiritual world, and not to be taken as face value. If so - it shows the destruction of the temple (an internal metaphor), wherein there was a global falling away from communication with God.
Prior to this falling away there was not religion as we know it today, but a global universal understanding of what was what.
During this time there was no difference between so called religions such as what we have today, what we have today is mostly chaos and misunderstanding, but at the root, all of the so called religion originated at the same point -- True spirituality is one, and religions are many!

Me Too!
I'm reading a book right now called "The Revelations of Christ", which is based on the studies of a Hindu spiritual leader known as Paramahansa Yogananda. I'd read His "Autobiography of a Yogi", and that was one book that helped steer me to Krishna. This newer book examines the Bible from the viewpoint of Sanatana Dharma. It's surprising how close pure Christianity (as opposed to what Yogananda refered to as "Churchianity") is to Krishna Consciousness! According to this book, Christians tend to follow the teachings of church leaders -- who may or may not have the deep understanding that a true saint would have. Saints are those who have a first hand knowlege of the Lord, and are truly Self Realized. You'll know a saint (such as, for example, Srila Prabhupada) by one who is willing to share what he or she has experienced, does not force anything on anyone, does not pass undue judgement on anyone, and who has little or no material desires. The joy of knowing Lord Krishna (or God, depending on how you prefer to address Him) is all a saint wants or needs. The problem in the churches is that an administrator needs to be "top dog", and to have an "underling" know more about the area of expertise (i.e. God), that underling will be kept under. So, essentially, churches teach Christianity based on the authority of a long succession of administrators, most who have no connection to Christ or any of his disciples, which would limit their spiritual understanding of the Eternal. Anyway, this book examines parts of the Bible that, when viewed objectively, suggest endorsements of reincarnation, self relization, and all sorts of wonderful things that are also endorsed in Krishna Consciousness. And this makes sense -- the eternal truth, in order to be true, must be consistent in all scripture! So, if you would like a really interesting examination of the Bible from a dharma viewpoint, this one's wonderful.
I know, also, that Srila Prabhupada has studied along the same lines. He considered Christ to be a bone fide spiritual master, but his line of successors has been broken, causing most Christians to be unable to BE true Christians. I'm not sure if the BBT offers a book dedicated to the study of Christ, but I have seen the subject covered in many of the self realization titles.

Friends in Krishna Are Never Strangers!
I know what you mean, though. It sometimes surprises me that anyone would take the time to help me with a question I might have. Maybe we're all a little selfish in a way -- we know that Lord Krishna wants as many of his devotee's as they can (which is potentially every single soul in any and all the universes) to come back home to Him, so in helping anyone to know more about Lord Krishna, we're also helping the Lord get what He wants! It's a complete win-win situation!
