Yes it is, many items, such as vinegar, soy sauce and other fermented items are offerable but are just not offerable on a temple altar of a public temple. The food standard at the temple is much different then that of at home. For example at the temple you cannot offer canned food or things that you have not cooked yourself like pasta, but at home it is fine. Hare Krishna
